Powder Springs, GA... On November 11, 2006, Guro James Eddings, founder of Vagabond Kali-Silat, President and Founder of the Vagabond Martial Arts Association hosted and conducted a "4th Annual SPECTRUM FILIPINO MARTIAL ARTS Seminars". The seminar was well attended by high level practitioners of various arts, including Kali, Silat, Kempo, Kung Fu, Goju and Jiu-jitsu. Several came from out of state for this event. This annual seminar is usually structured in a way that even new students can process the advanced concepts and techniques. Since there were so many experienced people in attendance it became a Master`s class on Martial Science.

Most people look at combat through the prism of their own style,and try to apply the techniques and principles of an “Art” to fighting. At this seminar we tried to focus on the concepts and principles of Combat and how to prioritize your training to reflect what happens in a fight, rather that train to perfect the particular skills required by an Art.

The seminar was well received and everyone walked away with a great deal of training material for the coming year.Our self defense DVD will be out in January and it will cover some of the important concepts discussed.
