Hackensack, NJ...On April 20, 2007, Sifu Mario Leone Jr., chief instructor of Lion Self Defense Academy in Milford, CT traveled to Hackensack, NJ to train with Master Quoc L. Tran. Sifu Leone shares his martial arts skill with Master Tran on the Filipino Stick Fighting with (one stick and double sticks) and Empty Hands Drills. Sifu Leone has been in the martial arts since he was 12 years old. During those years he studied different styles to enhance his martial arts background. Mario has cross trained in other systems and styles as well. He holds black belt rank in Jiu-Jitsu, Tae Kwon Do, Sifu in Kung Fu, Unarmed Combatives Instructor, Knife Instructor, Kenpo Karate Instructor under Hock Hochheim and other martial arts certification.
Master Quoc L. Tran, founder and chief instructor of Tran’s Combat Martial Arts also shows Sifu Leone the Staff and Nunchaku techniques. Master Tran and Sifu Leone have great time training together, sharing their martial arts skills. After the training, Master Tran presented to Sifu Leone a lifetime membership certificate into his martial arts organizations and certificate of appointment, appointed him as “Connecticut State Representative” for the International Tinh Vo Dao Federation, International Tranjitsu Federation, Combat Warrior Martial Arts Association, Christ-Mission Martial Arts Alliance and International Lu Tran Kung Fu Association. Master Tran also cross rank Sifu Leone in his martial arts style of Tinh Vo Dao and Street Rapid Defense System with the rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt.
