HONORS, AWARDS, AND SPECIAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
I am Featured on the Box of Wheaties "The Breakfast of Champions" I was welcomed into the Wheaties Family by Olympic Champion Mary Lou Retton and Tiger Woods in Dec. 2001. It was a tremendous honor to be selected and that I was the First Sombo/Wrestler/Martial Artist to be on a Box the Breakfast of Champions Wheaties. I beat out over 20,000 other Champion Athletes from all over the USA and it's territories.

Another great honor that has been bestowed on me and one I'll never forget was when;I received a letter of congratulations from the US Army Reserve's Command Sgt. Maj. Alex Lackey,". "He told me that I am the Everyday Champion and I represent over 205,000 Reservists all over the world. I never received that kind of letter or acknowledgement from anybody in my entire military career! I was deeply honored! Over 15 million boxes were produced and sold all over the World in it's run from March 2002 til Oct 2004. Being selected to be on the Box of Wheaties is "America's Hall of Fame"

I am the First Sombo Fighter to appear in the section CNN/SI "Faces in the Crowd". I am one of two Sombo fighters (World Champion Greg Gibson is the other) that is Featured in Sports Illustrated "Faces in the Crowd" in October 1997.

I am featured in the Wikipedia and also in Grappling, Black Belt, Inside Ku-Fu, Army Reserves Magazine and many other web E/Magazine publications.

On June 4, 2006; I was inducted with All-Star Shortstop Mike Bordick into the MAINE SPORTS HALL OF FAME.The Master of Ceremonies Dick Costello; Athletic Director at the University of Southern Maine introduced me as "The State of Maine's Most Decorated Wrestler ever". I also rec'd Congradulation from Maine Govenor John Ellias Baldacci. I am currently a member of these Halls of Fame:

Recently; The American Sombo Association has awarded me with a National Honorable Mention Certificate of Nomination for being a Pioneer in the developement of American Sombo. The winner was UFC Fighter and Movie Star Oleg Taktarov.
