Also martial arts grandmasters need continue training and education. Therefore a special training course took place in the training centre of the German Wu-Shu Federation in Moers on Saturday 15 th September.

The main instructors were President Gerd Stobbe from Moers, Grandmaster Hermann Harms from Gelsenkirchen, Grandmaster Toni Finken Schaffrath from Mönchengladbach, and as a guest coach Grandmaster Florian Hahn from Krefeld.

In the three-hour varied didactic program many possibilities of street defence and self-defence techniques were through and trained. The seminar opener was Grandmaster Hermann Harms, 9.Dan Jiu Jitsu. He taught consequent looks, holds and fixed techniques against annoyances with alternative weapons like cheque card, lighter and pen. Florian Hahn, 8.Dan Shaolin Kempo, trained strong, final and meaningful stoppers against racquet attacks. Gerd Stobbe, 10. Dan Shaolin Chuan, showed painful techniques approximately chokes in all situations. Toni Finken-Schaffrath, 9.Dan Kempo Naadaa, resuming block and countering attacks both good for the road and in the ring. The lecturers trained with the instruction units of their colleagues along and could so see their own techniques and those of the colleagues very skin closed.

Among the course participants was also GM Dieter Lindner, 7. Dan Ju-Jutsu and Dietmar Bassmer, 6. Dan, both from Cologne. Kung Fu pupils, Karate teacher and Tea Kwon DO teacher found this painful and arduous training as an enriching of their everyday training. In a solemn sequence Jusuf Zulic, 6 Dan became for his services in the Wu-Shu the golden medal of honour from the Federation. Mr. Zulic invited thereupon all masters to his restaurant, where after the seminar the grandmaster came together on a round table and by talking and discussing and a bag of tea.

All in all was that meeting very much succeeded, which contributed much mutual communication and acceptance. The view over the edge of the own plate brings inevitably openness to opposite different movements, ideas and systems with itself. This is completely and exactly the guidance motive of the Jutsu-Academy- Harms since 25 years. Agreement in the martial arts would appear the complete scene in the public eyes in a better light.
