During Bernd Hoehle (Headmaster of the Martial Arts Association - International www.MAA-I.com) and – its assistant Dennis Diekmann trained of this year the Thailand Journey (of golden Dragon e.V. Martial art center) into a special Muay Thai Camp. Muay Thai is for centuries the national sport of the Thais. There is a any of luxury in Thailand Camps for Thaiboxing tourists with air conditioning system, Top equipment, mat soil and soft training etc.. But the real Muay Thai one finds this there only very rarely finds in the poor Camps far from each luxury & commerce. Only one ring and some Boxingbags under a simple planner gene protection construction in the free one do not resound to sweat and blood-soaked equipment. One trains in all weather on the naked soil. With 35 degrees of heat and 90% air humidity each training is a burst test for western bodies. Foreigner mad itself only very rarely into such Camps. The Germans had the luck in one such Camps with the champions train.
Mr. Hoehle: " it was already violently the hygiene, the weather (rain time) and extremely hard training. Many young people are not so poor them even under the ring sleep there them at home have, no shower far and broadly - for the young people the sport is a chance by fights in the famous Thai box stages something make money. They Fight for survive! We had been friendly accepted however in each relationship and had fully ran - power training pure! ".
Ajarn (Ajarn = teacher) Pai Loy fermented and Ajarn Boon Lert Sitguan in both repeated champions informed us intensively. Everything under the strict and searching supervision of the " Kru Yui"(Camp manager) Krankarit Boonchuay of which Mr. Hoehle on the last day the train Mongkong solemnly presented. This represents a completely special honour. There a Mongkong (a front volume similar head decoration) before the first use in 7 monasteries was consecrate. It is put on to the fighters for mirror-image-ritual stabilization, to the protection from dangers / injuries and as indications of the affiliation of the school. The passing on may take place only via the Kru Yai to a Ajarn (teacher). This Mongkong is soaked and also in Germany in honours is held antlers width unit and of the sweat of many champions and fighters.
