Martial Arts Authority of India has organized its First National Martial Arts Games from November 1st to 4th in Community Hall, Ahmedabad Vity. The Event was organized under the auspicious Martial Arts Association – International ( MAA-I Germany ). 15th States and 26 Teams and more than 600 Martial Arts Athletes of various age & skill levels from various disciplines like Wushu ( Chinese Martial Arts ), Tae Kwon Do ( Korean Martial Arts ), Karate ( Japanese Martial Arts ) and Indian Bodo Style wrestling has competed in 1st National Martial Arts Games and there was more than 1000spectators to view this huge event .It is a first time in history of india that such a huge Martial Arts Games event held.

On the First day there was opening ceremony in which the chief guest was Shree Mono Kumar Brahma (Executive Member, Bodoland Territorial Council – Assam ) and Guest of Honour was Shree Akhileshwar Swamiji of Ahmedabad, along with chanakya Brahma ( Working President of Bodoland Indigenous Games Association. Dr. Gajanand Rajput ( Chairman of MAAI Games Committee ) Ishan Agrawal ( Vice Chairman, MAAI Games Committee) Shree Raju Newar ( Chairman of Selection Committee ), Mr. Jitendra Jaiswal, ( Treasurer , MAAI Games Committee ). MR. Jitendra Jaiswal was the comparer for the entire event and the function started with lighting of the lamp which was done by Shree Mono Kumar Brahma Chief Guest and other Dignitaries . After the lighting of the lamp Chairman Gajanand Rajput honored our Chief Guest Shree Mono Kumar Brahma with a bouquet of flowers and than other members of Bodoland honored the Chief Guest and other Dignitaries by their traditional style. After the Feli citations of all the Guests Jitendra Jaiswal asked the Chief Guest to say few words & declare the Martial Arts Games open. Mono Kumar gave a wonderful speech where he emphasized the importance of such events and need for Martial Arts to come up.HE even praised the organizing committee who had done a wonderful job by organizing this games. He also encouraged the various martial artists who have made the country proud by winning medals at International Levels. There was a great cheer in the crowd during the speech of Shree Mono Kumar Brahma.

The Tournament started with the Tae Kwon Do event on the first day followed by khomlainai ( Bodo Wrestling ) on the Second day Karate on the Third day and Wushu on the final day of the Martial Arts Games. On the last day there was closing and medals distribution ceremony was held in which the chief Guest was Shree Ashok Sharma ( Social Worker and President of Hindu Samrajya Sena) and Shree Akhileshwar Swamiji of Ahmedabad was the Chief Guest of Honors and other dignitaries of the organizing committee were also present. The goal for the martial arts games to preserve those traditions that are the foundations of life for all the Traditional Martial Arts of India.

The Closing Ceremony was also started with the lighting the lamp and followed by honoring the Chief Guest with a bouquet of flowers by Gajanand Rajput . At last Jitendra Jaiswal thanks all the competitors , and everyone who was involved in organizing and supporting these games : Our sponsors, judges, officials and volunteers who worked very hard to make our first ever game a memorable event.
