KUNG FU HUSTLE
By Wing-Sheung Lee

Kung-Fu Hustle is about a small time thief named Sing (Stephen Chow), who was trying to make his way into the ruthless Axe Gang. He tried desperately to get recognized and accepted in the Axe gang. Sing encountered the landlord and his wife in an apartment complex called “Pig Sty Alley”. He tried to extort money from one of the ordinary locals, but he did not succeed. Instead, he accidentally attracted the Axe Gang. After a few encounters with an impression martial artist and a near death experience, at the end, Sing discovered that he is the true kung fu master.

This film is directed by Stephen Chow. Like his past films, Stephen cooperated martial arts into comedy. Even though, he used a lot of computer special effects with the film, they blend into the film flawlessly. Stephen Chow is a well known comedian in Asia. Most of his films were comedies. Since he admires Bruce Lee so much, he even imitated Bruce’s style in this film. He even had the Hung Gar Kung Fu master named Chiu Chi Ling played Tailor. From the beginning to the end, there were full of laughter’s and actions. This is a very entertaining film. If you want to watch a new and refreshing martial art/comedy film, I highly recommend it.
