We teach students to 1) Avoid trouble by being alert and using good body posturing, don't look like a victim, 2) Diffuse a bad situation by apologizing and backing off while remaining ready to attack at any second, 3) Escape trouble by moving away from a possible bad situation, sometimes running and yelling for help. But when all these fail, 4) Then be the aggressor, Attack, Attack, Attack, don't be a defender be the aggressor and 5) When the assailant is neutralized get away from him, RUN. Because we all know from watching the horror movies that the monster always gets back up and kills his victim.
