Master Nelson D. Vargas was born and raised in a Christian family, in the Philippines. He has 1 sister and parents, the late Severo R. Vargas and surviving Mrs. Macrina D. Vargas. Only few people knows about his Father Beroy a Physics Professor {Deceased} in the world of Eskrima since the former had never involved when it comes into teaching. Master Nelson D. Vargas has been training in the Martial Arts since 1972. He is an experienced'" Street Gang Fighter", way back in his younger days. He has been involved in the martial arts for over 33 years in which he has trained, studied, taught and researched.

Master Vargas holds Ranks/Titles in different Martial arts style/system. On February 8, 1996, Prof. Vargas founded the Martial Arts of “STREETFUCUS”/LAKAN “SILAB KANTO FILIPINO”/FUCUS Full Contact Unarmed System. Or The way of the Street Edge and SAGRAVATE meaning Vargas SAVATEKicKBoxing System. Vargas is the Founder/CEO, chief Instructor of "Asian Brotherhood of Lethal Defense International", President of the "Global Society of Founders and Grandmasters Foundation". The headquarters is at College of Criminology, University of Bohol, Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines, and New Jersy, USA.

Master Vargas is a Master of his own fighting system. An Innovator, Cmdr., and a Humble teacher. He is known as a loving and caring person not only to his students, friends, and family . He is a low profile teacher who share his knowledge and wisdom to anyone who likes his system.

In Filipino culture, the only way you can proclaim that you are a master of FMA's are by letting other masters proclaim your title through your skills, knowlegde, and wisdom. An ordinary, traditional, old master doesn't held any Ranking system but rather they rely on skills and knowledge progression through training and actual Fights. He is recognized as master not only by his mentors but also with other International martial arts masters, considered as an expert both in weaponry {Nun-Chaku,Shuriken,Whip, HandGun and empty hands}. He complement's his fighting system by researching and formulating his own method of empty hand to hand fighting. Then created his simplified techniques arsenal. Integrating empty hand movement's, Boxing (Suntukan), Trapping (Tapi-Tapik), Kicking (Sikad), Wrestling/Grappling (DUMOG/Layog) system which he either formulated or based from other existing martial arts system.

He was inducted into the United States JiuJitsu Alliance Hall of Fame 2004. International Christian Martial Arts Alliance Hall of Fame 2005 and IMMAA Hall of Fame 2006 . Vargas is currently teaching Police Criminal Investigation, Police Intelligence and Defense Tactics Subjects since 1983.
