Grandmaster Shi Yan Hai, lay name Chuan Lun Liu, belongs to 34. Generation of the Shaolin monks. Shi Yan Hai already loved Kung Fu in its childhood. As soon as it had completed the primary school, it went to the current abbott of the monastery into the Shongshan Shaolin monastery and learned Kung Fu with his uncle, master Shi Yong Xin. Exactly like the other pupils it was strictly treated by its master. By training for many years it achieved the complete control of the Shaolin Kung Fu. thereby belonged to its special fields of activity not only different Shaolin fist forms and weapon forms but also the free fight and hard Qi gong. In particular it controls the art of the " iron hand ". With matches it won several times the championship for Shaolin fist forms, free fight, and hard Qi gong. It was invited also several times, in order to show on the " international Shaolin Wushu Festival " its art. With the abbott of the monastery it visited numerous countries such as Great Britain, Canada, Japan, Thailand etc.... It from many heads of state e.g. the queen from Great Britain was received.

Grandmaster Shi Yan Hai and master Bernd Hoehle became acquainted with themselves before several years and it accepted it later than privatestudent. Since cave trains regularly with Shi Yan Hai. Bernd Hoehle know about this honour, the training is very hard in addition, very good. Shi Yan Hai does not only attach much importance to the form training but also to the ceremonies and on the meanings and/or applications of each individual form technology. After the dish lock principle without the many reason and partner exercises the forms remain whole useless. One can compare it with a lock (forms), which one can only open, even if one has the suitable key (reason and partner exercises).

Grandmaster Shi Yan Hai´s uncle his higness, the venerable Grandmaster Shi Yong Xin, is the 30. Abbott of the Shaolin of temple, since its establishment in the year 495 A.D.

On 19 and 20 August 1999 was held a Dharma meeting, in order to insert the monk Shi Yong Xin into the office of the abbott of the Shaolin temple. Thus it became the 30. Successor of the 1. Abbott Xue Ting Fu Yu and replaced abbott Su Xi, which for age reasons from the office separated. The Shaolin temple with its more than 1.500-jaehrigen tradition represents the largest buddhist monastery of China since the seaweed dynasty. It is accordingly the largest buddhist school of China, and its combat monks are world-famous. Its abbott can be considered also to right as the highest dignitary of the Zen Buddhismus. The Zen master Shi Yong Xin is since its earliest childhood monk and is considered as one of the largest buddhist scholars of the world and as one of the highest authorities of the Chan Buddhismus at all. His higness becomes estimated from Buddhist everywhere in the world very, and its guidance points into a large future for Shaolin. The Grandmaster very probably knows despite his stress of the Buddhism around the meaning of the Shaolin Kung Fu as one the largest culture inheriting of China and underlines this also again and again. The venerable Grand master Shi Yong Xin earns the honour, became and position of the abbott of Shaolin, and it earns beyond that the congratulation and Honour of humans and the sky.
